Dear Sir,
One of my client has filed her return for AY 2010-11 in physical form.
Her income include professional services and her Tax was deducted. But at time time of tax deduction, she had no PAN.
The company paid tds and issued form 16A to her. She also filed the return on that basis.
But we cannot confirm the refund status.
We have checked form 26AS but it doesnt show tds credit (as she had no pan). nor she has received any intimation in respect of return filed for refund.
Please show us some ways how we can know the status and get the refund.

Ask the deductor to file revise return of the quarter in which tax was deducted with the correct PAN.

If intimation is received and TDS credit is not received then apply for rectification of intimation by giving original TDS certificate. You will get the claim.

Give in writing to the deductor for revision of thier tds return with correct PAN, they have to revise it, if u feel necessary give a copy of letter to your ITO.
