Rechecking of answer sheets

I have opted for rechecking of answer sheets. As i m just short of 8 marks to clear my first group. So i wanted to ask that is rechecking of answer sheets is benificial or not. And have you seen any instances of students getting passed out of rechecking the answer sheets????

Its recounting of marks, some cases have come out where students got passed in recounting.
