31 August 2017 I purchased Fenugreek(Methi) from Jaora (MP). I'm a dealer in chennai tamilanadu. The Item value is ₹240000/- IGST @5%. =. 12000/- total invoice amt= ₹252000/- Freight for this is 30000 and the GTA is unregistered. Fenugreek is an agricultural product. The dealer in JAORA Buy it from agriculturalist and cleans and pack a bag of 50kg and make sales Therefore my question is whether I should charge RCM on freight of ₹30000/- or not as RCM on agricultural produce is exempt.

31 August 2017 Actually all agriculture products are not under exempted. Some are taxable. Here that is not a matter.... You said agriculture product is exempted then why your supplier ll be given taxable supply...? And agriculture products are exempted but, GTA is not exempted. Here asking you on GTA. Not the product. Any exempted product ll be given exempted. But, the GTA service is not under exempted....
