What will be the rate for gst in india?

As per understanding from the draft and the state discuss it seems that it would be around 17%.

Basically try to understand that the GST will be having a DUAL structure.....
CGST.....central GST
SGST....State GST
The central govt is likely to levy 10%
The respective States will notify their rates through schedule
GST is DESTINATION based
It is applicable on "transaction value"

The rate is yet to be decided. Most probably there will be different rates for different categories
