I am working in a pvt ltd. company engaged in manufacturing & trading of printing machine cylinders, rollers. i want to know the rate of vat applicable on it 4% or 5%

To which State are you talking about??
If the VAT rate is increased, please check out the effective date of increased vat rate and also the invoice date particularly.
If it is in New Delhi, it is 5%
If it is Andhra, it is 4%
If it is in Assam, 5%
If it is in Haryana, 5%
If it is in Punjab, 5%...etc.
