The audit of different organisations of magnitude are unique in the subject matter audited and the challenges they pose. You can't make comparisons. It is upto the audi assistant to observe and make use of the experience.
As far as the maintenance of wok papers are concerned, the auditing organisations would have manuals and you will have to go in accordance with that
