If assesses as an salary employee and he received the maintenance of his flat from his employer. So, maintenance allowance received by employee is taxable or exempt? Flat is owned by employee. Can he get exemption?

Yes every perquisite is taxable as salary received.

It is not perquisite . It is an allowance... And yes it is taxable.....
