Query regarding articleship completion

12 May 2016 Hi, I had send my articleship completion form i.e. 108 but they are asking for leave confirmation letter . So what is leave confirmation letter nd why it is required. Or is there any prescribed format for this letter. Pls reply Thanks

13 May 2016 in form 108, you must have put certain amount of days as LEAVE availed during your articleship. In most of the cases this figure is an adjusted one, depending upon the affectionate relationship between articled clerk and principal.(I dont know what is scenario at your end) On a test case basis, ICAI always cross verifies this figure as reported in form 108.
Although there is no any particular format for confirmation letter, what you can do is.....ask your principal to write a letter to ICAI, mentioning that......I hereby confirm that the leave taken by xxxxxxxxxxx during articleship is xxxxxxx. The same figure is reported in form no 108...... That's all
