Please give your valuable views on following query:-

One of my client is in the business of software manufacturing & selling,
Software can be in the form of Microsoft windows or every month licensed version of anti-virus.
for which they have to charge VAT or Service Tax??

21 August 2010 yes. Softwares are covered As Goods as well as service under VAT and service tax act respectively. so both VAT and Service tax applicable
