is it necessary to pay purchase tax if the goods purchased is from farmers,and how to maintain this type of purchase what are the necessary documentation

Yes. genrally formers doesn't have the VAT registration and they may not know about the VAT process. so such purchase from unregistered dealers will attract purchase tax. your documentation for purchases and invoice or any other documents from seller is the base document to calculate the VAT on such purchase
