Provisional attemt count as an attempt or not

10 August 2012 I cleared my ipcc group-I in may 2010 and joined articleship in 6 september,I want to know when my final attempt due? and also in case if it is after the completion of 2.5 years of articleship training, then if i leave may 2013 (Provisional attempt), is it counted as an attempt or not?

10 August 2012 1. If a student does not appear in any one of the attempts, that attempt is counted for considering the total number of attempts allowed.

However, at present there is no restriction on the number of attempts in Final, so there is no problem.

2. If you drop May 2013 and clear in the next attempt, you will still be considered as passed in first attempt.

10 August 2012 can you please send a link of any of announcement in which the 2 point as you said is mentioned by ICAI.
and also i want suggestion that as i just cleared my ipcc grp 2 in may 2012. I have just 8 months for my final attempt, so will i give group 2 or group 1 of final.......
