I wanted to know what is PT and what is the procedure to take PT number and to whom PT is applicable?
I am Maharashtra (mumbai).

PT is tax on Profession in the state of Maharashtra and same has been allotted and controlled by the Sales Tax department of the state of Maharashtra. You have to apply with the sales tax authorities for getting PT Number.Thanks
