13 February 2013 Dear frndz,
I have a doubt about the cancellation of service tax registration, here X and Y are the partners of XY firm. After completion of service tax registration of firm , they ere not interested to carrying the business.they want to cancel the registration certificate, so plz tel me frndz what is the procedure for cancellation of service tax Registration of the firm......

13 February 2013 You will cancelled the service tax registration aces site and submit the RC with cancellation form before the division office after paying all liability.

13 February 2013 Registration surrendering has to be done through online.
Visit www.aces.gov.in
Create userid and password if not yet created.
login to the site.
click on 'REG'.
Click on 'surrender'.
click on 'registration number'.
fill up the last three columns in the ST-2 appearing therein.
click on 'surrender ST-2'.
On successful e-filing, take a print out sign and seal, enclose original ST-2 and file before the jurisdictional superinte- ndent under acknowledgement.
