I filled return of income of individual women with 175800 Income
so there is no tax liability
While i received intimation of 143
I got that there is tax of rs.1755
nd they treat as Male Individual return
Now what shlud i Do???
Pls Help...

i think that u have not click on female option so this tax liability rases.
now apply for rectification and your problem will resolve

Rectify the return ONLINE. Log on to the e filing site. Put the pan and password. Go to rectification and upload the rectification.

yes agree with experts,
another thing you should have to take care is when itr filing completed then also click on calculate tax. it will help you if you selected wrong gender

The assumption behind your query is that you have filed the return ONLINE. Open the e filing site of income tax dept. Log on to the respective assessee and follow the procedure. If you have filed the return MANUALLY / PHYSICALLY, then you can rectify the same with the concerned ITO.

Rectification is possible only of a mistake apparent from record.
Selecting wrong gender does not amount to mistake apparent from record.

PAN data base is record and is considered for return and intimation, As per PAN record the gender for this PAN is a female. This may be considered for rectification. In rectification application mention this fact with rectified xml file.

Dear All...
As i Rectify my return on 23-03-2012..
But now it shows a message that rectification request rejected..
and while filling a return from the beginning I selected gender female.
so there is no mistake of mine
Now what should i do..

File a revised return.

it was filled for A. Year : 2011-12 Date 23-03-2012
And for A.Year : 2011-11 Date 06-03-2012
In both year I Face d Problem.
Some one told me to correction in pan??

Call NSDL and ask them the gender against this PAN.

I got Intimation Today With no Tax liability..
Processed What I Do..
Change with NSDL in pan data(Change Gender As i have filled female but by mistake they put it in male so inspite of mistake From NSDL site just change DATA)
And than Rectify it..
