21 May 2011 Notification No 32/2011-Service Tax the 25th April, 2011:

This is an unfavorable notification for the professionals like CAs, CSs and CWAs. This notification rescinds an earlier notification i.e. N-No.-25/2006 of 13-7-2006, which was issued to provide full exemption to representational services provided to the clients by us . Representational services means to appear before a statutory authority in the course of proceedings initiated under any law, by way of issue of a notice. As an effect of this Notification –Now such services have become taxable.
