25 January 2008 I am a PE-2 student regd after PE-1.my eligbility certificate was valid only up to Nov2007 examn.
i wrote PE-2 in Nov2007 and have failed in both groups getting an exemption in information tech with 62 marks.
I am totally confused reading the transition update. I would like to know whether i can write May2008 PE-2 or whether i should get converted to new scheme. If i get converted, can i write PCE May 2008 without the prior requirement of completion of 18 months articleship.will i hav to write information tech paper again under PCC.Is immediate joining for articleship needed along with PCC transition?

26 January 2008 If you want to appear in PEII May 2008 you are eligible. Write your exams.
If you want to shift to PCC then sign articleship under MIT who is the member of ICAI.
You have to decide fast as forms will be available from 4th February.

26 January 2008 THANK U SIR.BUT CAN U PLS B SPECIFIC BCOS I AM TOLD BY MANY,EVEN THOSE FROM THE INSTITUTE THAT ONLY THOSE PE2 STUDENTS WHO REGISTERED AFTER THEIR GRADUATION CAN WRITE IN MAY 2008.AND SINCE I HAV REGD AFTER MY PE-1 AND ALSO AS MY ELIGIBILITY CERTIFICATE VIS CHANCE GOT EXPIRED IN NOV 2006, I CANNOT WRITE PE-2 IN MAY 2008.I HAV BEEN ASKED TO CONVERT TO PCC AND WRITE PCE IN MAY 2008...WHT SHUD I DO?
