02 January 2012 Can any one please help me about my business,
i am doing job as a web designer and also running my business which is also web designing and as well as seo (search engine optimization) i take projects from clients and make it complete with my employee's (recently i hired some people to work for me) and i charge without any vat and without any service charges

so could you please tell me what should i do in which category is it come under... and what should i register..... or i need to maintain books????????????
please help me in this matter

02 January 2012 Dear friend according to your query you are providing services and Service Tax will be applicable in your case. if you are providing materials or using as input some electronic materials then VAT is also applicable. You have to register yourself when your gross receipts increase Rs. 9.00 Lacs during the financial year and charge VAT on bills raised by you with services if materials used in your work. Thanks
