Our company has recruited an employee on 1-6-2013 with a salary of 40,000/- per month. For the first six months, he will be under probation. His name is neither shown in manual attendance register nor tally payroll. Salary payments was booked under 'staff welfare expenses'. Is PF and ESI applicable in this case?
