05 February 2012 The employer has provided movable assets air conditioner to employee's residence . the actual cost is Rs.110000. what is taxable perquisites in hands of employee?

As per manoharan(author) book it is given 11000 bt I think it should be 99000 i.e
Actual cost of employer 110000
+ depn @10% 11000
- amt recovered

05 February 2012 Book answer is correct, since asset is given to employee just use the asset, not transferred to him. so just need to considered 10% of original cost Rs.11000 as perquisite
