suppose i purchased an capital asset on 1-1-2008 n sold it on 1-1-2013 ....so my poh will be upto 1-1-13or only upto 31-12-12.....pls answer keeping in mind recent case of delhi HC in bharti gupta ramola(2012)

Your period of holding the capital asset will be up to 1-1-2013 as you were holding the asset till you have transferred it.
