Pension received from defense is taxable or not in the hands of employee.

Pension earned by all employees is taxable including defence personnel.

it is very much taxable. (I have come across a handful of defense people who have similar notion. I tried to dig out the truth and finally concluded that defense people have exemption from Professional tax which most of them mistook as income tax)
