What is the date of payment for ESI, PF etc for Tax audit purpose. ie is it date of cheque or is it stamp date on ESI,PF challans by bank?

24 August 2010 The payment of employees & employers contribution of PF should be deposited in any authorised branch of the state bank of India on or before 15TH of the following month. Grace period of 5 days in case of cheque payment is allowed i.e upto 20th of every following month.In case of Esi,deposited on or before 21th of the follwing month.
