Dear Sir, There is a partnership firm to carry on the business of civil construction. Wherein, there are two partners (father-son). Now the father has died. Now I want to ask that, whether the second partner (son) can become partner in the capacity of legar hair of his father, to maintain the status of firm as partnership or he has to run it now only as proprietorship firm? Please clarify. Thanks.

No, that is not possible...... he can take some other person, if he is so keen in doing it in partnership ELSE he can do it in proprietorship
