30 December 2014 Dear experts One of my cousin is having old pan card and he filed the returns during the year 2005-06 and after three years continuously .From 2008-09 he was stopped for filing when he intended to file current returns he came to know that his pan number does not exist. Now I would like to know that whether my pan number may exist or not. If it changes any technical reasons how could I find out Pl inform as early as possible thanking you yours faithfully Chandrasekhar

You can also check thru follo method, this is a bit different but is shows your personal details to validat:

goto https://onlineservices.tin.egov-nsdl.com/etaxnew/tdsnontds.jsp

Click on 280, then fill mandatory details and click proceed.

If you PAN is active you will get your personal details..
