31 March 2010 Dear Sir,
I got problem with my PAN Card. I have my PAN in my father's name. I m merried now. I have to change my name on this PAN.What is the procedure for this? I just dont want to NEW PAN NO.
Please help me in this matter.

For applying PAN number even married women also need to give the father name only as per form 49A

so you no need to change

31 March 2010 If you want to change your name post marriage (like change in surname etc), you can apply for correction in PAN data with a copy of marriage certificate which should have both your old name & new name.

If you want your husband's name appear in your PAN card in place of your father's name, it is not possible. PAN card will have only father's name even for married women.

Also as you already have a PAN, you cannot apply for a new PAN. Having more than 1 PAN is illegal.
