Opening stock in trial balance

As we know opening stock is shown in T.B. but i want to know that why closing stock is not shown in T.B? and why only is opening stock shown in T.B.?

28 March 2012 Closing Stock affects both the P&L and the Balance Sheet.

So it has both credit balance and debit balance.

Even if you show closing stock in the Trial Balance, it will cancel out.
