Old claim from a party (false claim)

After the expiry of 11 year one of my party is making false claims that I owe him which is not true. The matter belongs to year 2000. Pl advise whether this issue

Legally, its time barred. If there is no communication for 3 years, any receivable become time barred.

Find out from your records whether you have been served with any letter of document for the claim from the claimant. If you are sure then he claimant cannot claim anything from you and it is automatically time barred. As per the Limitation act any claim exceeding 3 years shall be barred by Limitation. So do not entertain the claimant and do not issue any letter or response to the claimant.
In case still you are being harassment then you can lodge a Police complain for extortion and let the claimant go to the court of law for his claim.
