Can we appoint NRI as a Director of an Indian company. If yes, any permisssion/declaration is required from RBI

You can appoint an NRI as a Director of an Indian company. The permission of rbi is not necessary if shares on not alloted to him.
HOwever you have to file necessary forms to roc after he becomes a director of the company.
