29 April 2016 My uncle is an nri n have nre rupees savings account in mumbai sbi He stays in africa but he gets sometimes some small payments in dubai which he would like to send mumbai but sender name is not my uncle but others who r supposed to pay my uncle. My question is if such amount comes to his nre acct in mumbai is there any problem or is any tax to be paid Please answer soon Thnx in advance

29 April 2016 since your uncle stays in Africa, he must be NON RESIDENT as per indian income tax act and hence income earned in Dubai by unknown source is not taxable in India. So he can very well remit those funds into indian NRE bank account.
