Can a student appear for one group in Nov 2010 as per CA FINAL Old course & appear for for another group in MAY 2011 attempt as per CA FINAL New Course?

Yes. In my view it is possible.
Since Nov 2010 is the last attempt, whatever your group is clear, the other one needs to be cleared in new course.
