We are Doing Job Work and catagarised in Design Service. We are preparing Inv. to all by charges Service Tax.
Now my one party is informing that under notification (214/86 dt: 25.03.1986)we can not charge them a SErvice Tax ?? So what to do ? Is it correct ? WE could not charge any Service tax as per above notification? Please advice

If your job work is for manufacturing of the finish goods which is Exciseable then no service tax applicable on Exciseable manufacturing goods.

Thanks for your reply. We are receiving heavy Moulds on which we designed. In which we are using our material & sending back to customer after Job work. Then they may manufacture or sending any other party to manufacture the product from that Texturised Mould. Now to whom Service Tax will not applicable. Also inform about Works Contact will be applicable to us or not. Kindly reply.
