24 October 2010 i want to know what should be done in case of non -receipt of password in case of registration of email id with ACES for onling filing of service tax return.

24 October 2010 you can enquire about the non receipt of Password with your Service tax jurisdriction, they will give with in 2 days

24 October 2010 you need to go with the proper request letter along with one copy and submit and get acknowledged, they will send by email, if tommorrow if any delay in getting password and filling return, the letter acknoweleged copy will save you from penalty if department ask

24 October 2010 sir but we have not received password till date and we have to file return for the first half of f.y. 2010-11. what should we do now ? plz advice us.

24 October 2010 You are so late already,Tommorrow is the last day, submit the request letter tommorow, and ask Service tax PRO for getting the same by tommorow, otherwise file 1 or 2 day delay, nothing can be done

24 October 2010 E-filing is mandatory for only assessee paid Service tax of Rs.10 Laksh (cash+ canvat) during FY-2009-10. so your payment only Rs.1.50 lakh, you are not covered under mandatory e filing of return
