ONE OF MY NEW CLIENT,
FILED HIS IT RETURNS FOR THE ASST. YEARS 2007-08 & 2008-09 THROUGH ONLINE.
NOW, HE WANT TO UPDATE HIS INCOME TAX FILE,
IN MEAN TIME HE HAS RECEIVED A NOTICE FROM THE INCOME TAX OFFICER, STATING THAT, YOU HAVE NOT FILED THE RETURN OF INCOME FOR THE ASST YEAR 2010-11, IF YOU HAVE FILED, SUBMIT THE COPY FOR REFERENCE.
AS PER MY KNOWLEDGE FOR THE ASST. YEARS 2009-10, 2010-11 & 2011-12 DUE DATE EXCEEDED.
KINDLY SUGGEST IN THIS MATTER

in such a case, you need to approach the jurisdictional AO and submit physical returns and pay any due tax.
with regards to the notice, kindly reply that the returns are in process of being prepared..
