13 August 2011 Dear Friends

My auditor has remitted the Advance tax but the tax is not credited to my PAN. When we checked the PAN with the challans there was mismatch in the PAN Card.I.E., instead of Q it was mentioned as C.

So how do we solve this matter.

13 August 2011 The power to amend such wrong details in challan after payment of tax in OLTAS has been given to the Assessing officer. So, please meet the AO with a written application along with copy of the said challan.

13 August 2011 It is called "online tax accounting system"
initiated by the Income tax department to receive information and maintain records of tax paid through banks through online upload of challan details.
