Noc form existing company having similar name

15 February 2012 if the name of proposed company is identical or resemble to, with existing company which incorporated outside india, then is there any fomat of NOC or simple board resolution is sufficient for name approval.

Kidly give me NOC format if any,

It is urgent

15 February 2012 As per Section 20 of the Companies Act, Companies Can't be registered with undesirable name. i.e
1. Name identical with or too nearly resembling the name by which a company in existence has been previously registered

2. Name identical with or too nearly resembling the registered trade mark or a trade mark which is subject of an application for registration, of any other person under the Trade Marks Act, 1999

3. Name prohibited by any law.
