21 July 2008 One of the terms and conditions of the contract awarded to a contractor may be to deal with the price fluctuations during the execution of the contracts or delay in completion of the contract on contractee's account. The clause dealing with such situations is known as Escalation Clause. The contractee may have to reimburse escalation of input prices based on wholesale price index.
