How does one choose the name of a new Firm? What happens if it clashes with an identical name?

There are no restrictions applicable to firms like Companies. Any reasonable name considering basic aspects like decency, soverignity of a country can be kept.
It does not matter if it is identical with another name unless issues on trade mark, copy right etc are relevant.
