06 November 2013 The applicable VAT rate is 5%.

In case of CFL lamp and electric lamp it is 5%. In case of Kerosene lamp, lantern lit by bio gas is exempt.

Curtain vat rate is 12.5% since the same is not covered in 5% schedule.
