Mvat on machinery discarded of rs.80,00,000

my client has discarded the machinery of Rs.80,00,000/- during F.Y.2014-15. Will it attract VAT on the said amount.
16 January 2016
If he has sold the machinery as scrap then it will attract MVAT of 5%.
