03 July 2012 Greetings of the day to all experts!!!

In excel if we want to find the difference in two numeric value we simply put formula =cell"A1"-cell"B1"

But if there are two alpha numeric values then how can we find the difference with the help of formula...

ex: in cell A1 = Sunil99
in cell B1 = Suneel99

03 July 2012 For what purpose do you want to find the difference between two alphanumeric values?

If you want to find whether the two values are equal or not, use A1 = B1.

It will display 'True' or 'False'.
