15 April 2008 the rate of excise duty is reduced to14.32% including education and SHEC.there is no change in service tax and vat.

SERV. TAX RATE NO CHANGE FROM 12.36%
VAT BEING A STATE SUBJECT BUDGET OF CENTRE CANNOT ACT .CST IS REDUCED FROM 3 TO 2 %
