Linking of GST number to bank account.

Some current account holders and cash credit account holders are receiving messages to link their GST number to their bank accounts, is their any circular or notification regarding the same?

Since Bank will levy charges and there are GST applicable on Bank also.
So they are asking for GSTIN so that customer will be eligible for Credit of taxes levied by BANK

And how will the customer claim the credit of such taxes?

Bank will file their outward return GSTR-1 and it will automatically get displayed in GSTR-2A
