what is limit of sales for applicability of excise duty

If the aggregate value of clearances in the previous year does not exceed Rs. 400 lakhs, then the assessee is a SSP in the current year.
Accordingly no excise duty will be levied on aggregate value of clearances up to Rs. 150 lakhs.
