Please let me know whether deduction u/s 80C can be claimed in 2014-15 on the basis of cheque dt. i.e. 31.03.2015 or in next year on the basis of receipt date of LIC i.e. 16.04.2015.

Deduction can be claimed in FY 2015-16 on the basis of receipt date.
