24 April 2010 What would be the last date for filing the return if 25th of a particular month falls on public holiday/ sunday?

24 April 2010 In Case the last date of filing of return happens to be holiday due to sunday oe for any other reason, the return can be filed on the next working day.

24 April 2010 Agree with Sanjeev Ji. In the case of Direct tax returns CBDT has issued a circular 639 dated 13/11/1992 saying that as per section 10 of the General Clauses Act,1897 returns can be filed on the next working day.
