Labor charges

We employ labor for loading and unloading of goods and at the end of the month put a consolidated entry in accounts as labor charges. Are we required to pay serv tax on this.

1. If the labour has been employed through a contractor then service tax is applicable.
2. If the labour has been directly employed, then service tax is NOT applicable.
2. If the labour has been directly employed, then service tax is NOT applicable.
