23 December 2010 I had recently passed CA Final in May,10. Whether there are better prospects in the field of practicing or industry ?
Further, i believe that one who joins industry has limited area of work and so he may not be able to get more exposure in various areas due to repetitive sort of work.

13 January 2011 If your family can support you to have a good office with infrastructure facilities and don't expect much from you for three more years; then go for practice.

If not, go for job.

The essence of the advice is if you wish to start your practice - then start your practice only.

A single assignment can easily fetch 2-3 lacs per annum if you have some patience for 10 years. After ten years or so; the benefit will increase every year !

Focus only on big clients. For that you have to be expert in at least one field.

Another way is to be associated with big CA firms for 3-5 years and then you start your own practice.
