My client being an Individual having only Gross salary Income more than 10 Lacs including exempted Income of Rs.160000/- towards HRA Under Section 10 of I.T.Act like HRA,Conveyance Allowance etc.
Query is which ITR form is to be used for e-filing purposes i.e. either ITR-1 (Sahaj) or ITR-2.
Please reply.

ITR1 needs to be filed. Only if Agricultural Income is more than Rs 5000/- you will have to file ITR2.

Thanks for prompt reply.But KDK software shows that ITR-2 has to be filed.is it true.
Please confirm as till date ITR-2 Excel utility is not issued by the Dept.on website of efiling.

You can check the notified ITR from above link and also instructions file which is self explanatory.
Earlier rule of exempted Income more than rs 5000/- has now been amended and now if agricultural income is more than Rs 5000/- then you can not file ITR1 and you need to file ITR2.
