Itr - 1 for salaries person

23 July 2018 Hi Experts,

When filing ITR-1 for salaried person, we have to show bifurcation of salary (i.e. Basic Salary, Allowances etc) or we can file return considering net salary income.

Please guide.

23 July 2018 Bifurcation not required go as per form 16 excluding exempt allowances. Show exempt allowances under exempt income.

24 July 2018 Dear Sir,

Thanks for the information but while filing return, it is showing that you have to bifurcate salary detail in parts as below.

There are five rows to be filled with regards to salary income:
a) Salary (excluding all allowances, perquisites and profit in lieu of salary),
b) Allowances not exempt,
c) Value of perquisites,
d) Profits in lieu of salary and
e) Deductions u/s 16.

We have to bifurcate salary from salary slips if it is not available in Form 16.

Need your advise in that case.

24 July 2018 Go as per form 16 IT department see only form 16.
