17 July 2010 my company has purchased certain goods from other state. sale was made on 28.03.2010.but goods recived in our company on 10.04.2010.now on what day i should entre the bill in books . if 0n 28.04.10 then no goods recived .if on 10.04.2010 then how we issue "c" form of back date.

17 July 2010 There are 2 options since already bill has been made you can pass on 28-03-2010

Goods in Transit account Dr
To creditor acccount

or regular entry on 10-04-2010.

C form has to be issued only after 10-4-2010 after receipt of goods.
